Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic belonging to the fluoroquinolone class. It prevents DNA replication by inhibiting bacterial DNA topoisomerase and gyrase enzymes, which are essential for separating bacterial DNA during cell replication and division, thereby preventing cell division.

How to use Ciprodar 500 mg Tablets
Take the medicine exactly as your doctor explained to you.
Take this medicine at the same time each day.
Take the tablets with or without food.
Take the tablets with a full glass of water.
Swallow the tablet whole. Do not split, crush, or chew the tablet.
Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medicine.
Do not take this medicine with dairy products, such as milk or yogurt, or calcium-fortified juices.
Dosages may vary depending on the type and severity of the infection.
For adults, the average usual dose is 250 - 750 mg every 12 hours.
For children, doses are usually given according to the child's body weight in mg/kg/dose. It is usually between 10-20 mg/kg/dose every 12 hours.
Dosages can be changed in special circumstances, so always follow the instructions of your doctor or pharmacist.
If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital immediately.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is time for your next dose.
