Product Description:
Micardis Plus is a combination of two active substances, Telmisartan and Hydrochlorothiazide, in one tablet. Both active substances are used to control high blood pressure.
Telmisartan belongs to a group of blood pressure medicines called Angiotensin II receptor blockers.
Angiotensin II is a substance produced by the body that causes blood vessels to constrict, thereby increasing blood pressure.
Telmisartan works by blocking the effect of Angiotensin II so that the blood vessels relax and blood pressure is lowered.
Hydrochlorothiazide belongs to a group of medicines called thiazide diuretics, which increase urine output and lead to a decrease in blood pressure.
If high blood pressure is not treated, it can damage blood vessels in many organs, which can sometimes lead to a heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure, stroke, or blindness.
High blood pressure usually does not cause any symptoms until damage occurs.
Therefore, it is important to measure blood pressure regularly to ensure it is within the normal range.
Micardis Plus is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by Telmisartan alone.

These symptoms, which may indicate fluid accumulation in the vascular layer of the eye (choroidal effusion) or high pressure in your eye, may occur within hours or weeks of taking Micardis Plus.
Failure to treat this can lead to permanent vision impairment.
If you have skin cancer or if you develop unexpected skin changes during treatment.
