Product Description:
Amlor contains the active ingredient Amlodipine, which belongs to a group of medicines called calcium channel blockers.
Please note that your doctor may have prescribed this medication for different uses and/or at a different dosage than what is stated in the package leaflet.
Always follow your doctor's prescription as stated on the pharmacy label.
Amlodipine is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) or a specific type of chest pain called angina, including a rare form called Prinzmetal's or variant angina.
In patients with hypertension, the medication works by widening the blood vessels, allowing blood to pass through them more easily.
In patients with angina, Amlodipine works by improving blood flow to the heart muscle, which subsequently receives more oxygen to prevent chest pain.
The medication does not provide immediate relief for chest pain caused by angina.
