Product Description:
Rybelsus is indicated for the treatment of adults (18 years or older) with type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control as an adjunct to diet and exercise.
RYBELSUS® is an oral tablet that works similarly to a natural hormone called GLP-1, which is released by the body after eating.
It helps your body lower blood sugar levels when they are too high and assists in weight reduction.
Rybelsus is available in three dosages:
3 mg - 30 Tablets - Green Packaging.
7 mg - 30 Tablets - Red Packaging.
14 mg - 30 Tablets - Blue Packaging.
Usage Instructions:
Rybelsus is a once-daily tablet.
This medicinal product should be taken on an empty stomach at any time of the day (ideally immediately upon waking up in the morning).
Tablets should be swallowed whole with a sip of water (up to half a glass of water). Tablets should not be split, crushed, or chewed, as it is not known whether this affects the absorption of Rybelsus.
Patients should wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking, or taking other oral medicinal products.
If a dose is missed, the missed dose should be skipped and the next dose should be taken the following day.
Warnings and Precautions:
Not recommended for use in patients with type 1 diabetes.
Rybelsus should not be used during pregnancy.
If a patient wishes to become pregnant, or if pregnancy occurs, Rybelsus should be discontinued. Rybelsus should be stopped at least two months before a planned pregnancy due to its long half-life.
Rybelsus should not be used during breastfeeding.
Please inform your doctor if you have a history of pancreatitis.
