Omformin 500 mg 20 Tablets
Metformin Hydrochloride is used to treat patients with type 2 diabetes (also called non-insulin-dependent diabetes) when diet and exercise alone are not sufficient to control blood glucose levels.
It is used in patients who are overweight.
Do not take Omformin 500 mg 20 Tablets:
- If you are allergic to Metformin Hydrochloride or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
- If you have liver problems.
- If you suffer from severe renal impairment.
- If you have uncontrolled diabetes.
- If you have a severe infection, such as one affecting the lungs, bronchial tubes, or kidneys.
- If you are being treated for acute heart failure or have recently had a heart attack, or have serious circulatory problems or breathing difficulties.
Warnings and Precautions:
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine:
- If you have or have ever had a disease of the pancreas (such as pancreatitis).
- If you have gallstones, alcohol addiction, or very high levels of triglycerides (a type of fat) in the blood.
- If you have type 1 diabetes (sometimes called insulin-dependent diabetes).
- If you have or have had an allergic reaction to Metformin.
Possible Side Effects:
Stop using the product and seek immediate medical attention if you experience:
- Tightness in the throat, swelling of the eyes, face, lips, or tongue, feeling faint, or difficulty breathing.
- Hives or itching on the face or body.
