For the treatment of pneumonia:
Children weighing 34 kg or more:

The dose is usually 2 grams once a day taken as a single dose.
Children aged 6 months and older weighing less than 34 kg:

The dose is usually 60 milligrams per kilogram of body weight once a day, taken as a single dose.

Warnings and Precautions:
Shake the suspension well before use.
Measure the dose carefully using a special measuring device/spoon.
Do not use a household spoon as you may not get the correct dose.
If your child vomits a one-day treatment dose within 30 minutes, contact your physician to see if you need to repeat the dose.
If you are taking an antacid containing aluminum or magnesium, wait at least two hours before or after taking azithromycin.
